In the fourth quarter of 2009, shipment volume of the Taiwanese desktop PC industry is estimated at 13.5 million units, up over 10% sequentially in comparison with the third quarter of 2009. Simultaneously, Taiwan's share of the worldwide desktop PC shipments also climbed up. Meanwhile, the industry's fourth-quarter shipment value also was expected to have recorded a 9% sequential growth in comparison with the third quarter of 2009. The industry's volume and value growth in the fourth quarter can be further analyzed from three perspectives, including product portfolio, supply chain management, and financial management.
